Collecting Benefits from Old-Age and Accident Insurance (c. 1890)

Entitled The Blessings of Old Age and Sickness Insurance [Der Segen der Alters- und Invalidenversicherung], this woodcut dates from about 1890, when Bismarck’s struggle to implement an even more comprehensive system of state insurance was drawing to a close with the end of his chancellorship.
